Lawtomation conference

On September 28 and 29 2023, Charlotte van Oirsouw presented her research at the Lawtomation conference in Madrid, Spain. This interdisciplinary conference, organized by IE University and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for Law and Automation (Lawtomation), brought together a wide variety of professionals and academics from diverse fields. With over 100 speakers and nearly 200 participants from around the globe, the conference provided a platform for discussions on the developing legal landscape of automated decision-making (ADM) and artificial intelligence (AI). In her presentation titled “Networked Algorithmic Administrative Decision-Making (NAADM): A Conceptualization” Charlotte van Oirsouw contributed to the discussion by exploring important legal questions regarding the challenges of transparency and accountability posed by NAADM.
